Hey, y'all!

Kind of a shitty week if I'm being completely honest. Some of you guys may have noticed an increase in "special renders" this week, and it's just me trying to get better at rendering.

I'm really not happy with how my "art" looks (no, I'm not reworking shit), but it's mostly just me being weird, so I won't go too deep into that.

The numbers for the week are sitting at 788 renders and 9 animations.

I've moved on to writing Alyssa's scene and it's gone quite well. I've been having horrendous headaches where staring at the two bright-ass monitors I use for Daz is just terrible, so I've been writing away on my laptop while I'm in bed as the render queue chugs away instead.

That's about it for this week. I've attached one of the "special renders" I mentioned, so click on it if ya want idunno.

He took some time off. But he is back now, added a few updates today. But he has a fairly big list of mods waiting to be updated and who knows where this one sits in his todo list.

I saw them on his discord. Just rechecked, my mistake, I read it as 24 July, it was 24 June. (American dating confuses me ). So, no there hasn't been any for a month. Sorry for getting your hopes up.

any mod from laik had not been updated in a very long time they only update the games want too

Hey, y’all!

Sorry in advance if the formatting is kinda ass. Currently writing this on my phone due to an unfortunate series of technical fuckery and bullshit.

Fair warning, I’m boutta yap away ‘cause I’m fucking tired, pissed, and frustrated.

So, if you’re in my Discord, you may know my PC has been in the mud lately. That motherfucker went from crashing maybe once or twice a week, to about once every hour or so. It’s genuinely been impossible to use it and get work done on that bitch, especially when running the render queue because it’s pretty much guaranteed to crash and I’m lucky to get even a single image rendered.

I ordered a new power supply to my parents place (they’re like 100 dollars cheaper in the US which is just an outlandish markup) since I’m pretty sure that’s what has been fucking me in the ass these past couple of weeks. One thing though. MY FUCKING INTERNET DECIDED TO FUCKING DIE ON ME. Now, why does that matter you ask? I called ‘em to ask what’s up and if they could come fix this fucker, the usual shit. Those motherfuckers said “Aight, big dawg, we’ll pull up anytime in the next 72 hours”… So yeah, I’m pretty much stuck here and can’t go pick up the bitch ass power supply until they decide to show up and fix my shit.



Rant over.

The numbers are up to 841 renders (+ a long ass queue of non rendered images setup) and 9 animations.

That’s about it.

No preview this week since I don’t have any renders saved on my phone, so hopefully this previously abandoned render will do. Again, apologies for the long ass wall of text.

So has this become just a bunch of arbitrary scenes with lighting so dark you can hardly see anything, or is it just me? There is no rhyme or reason to anything.

Updated my compressed Android port of Westview Academy with JGNeon's multimod to v0.5.1.

Got some basic gestures loaded in: swipe up for save menu, swipe down to hide UI, swipe left to rollback and swipe right to skip. Save files are now stored in the Documents folder. This sometimes means that you may need to close and re-open the port after installing so the save folder is properly created.

Please let me know if you encounter any issues with the port and I'll see what I can do to get them sorted.

Not a bad game by any means, the route split offers opportunities other college VN just don't, the Basketball route feels like the most empty to me in terms of characters and engagement but it might be because I am not a fan of the sport and doesn't pull me towards the struggles of a young player trying to make it.

More of a fan of the music route the girls just seem hotter too, from Jordan to Brooklyn(the only blonde in the game which just wins me over) and of course the only threesome so far in the game. The minigames that rated your song concept was somewhat cool too, liked the scenes at the pub and in general the route has the potential to show more scenarios and situations fir the MC.

An interesting perspective. It's curious how it's completely the other way around for me: imo, the Music path is empty. In it, the MC doesn't actually do much music, and when he does, he fails, such as not enrolling into the music program (big mistake by the dev, imo; "MC-in-the-program" would be a much more unique story than another tale of an independent teenage band) and not attracting attention to his second track. Jordan and Brooklyn also seem very equal to each other, and I can't really choose between them. So, the Music path became the Leslie path for me, as she managed to snatch me away while J&B were competing with each other. Its only advantage is the better SG selection, but I don't personally find that important (besides, who needs SGs when Paige's lewds are already available?).

The Sports path is much better, imo. The rival doesn't just disappear and is there to create tension, Jae and Athena (who are supposedly Alyssa's good friends) don't disappear either, the MC's failures alternate with successes, there is much more "show" made from the basketball games than from musical rehearsals… Oh, and Paige absolutely destroys Athena and actually becomes a good competitor against Alyssa.

And I'm not a basketball fan neither a musician. I'm a hockey fan though, and that might play a role because all team sports ultimately have similar organizational specifics.

Might be mate that being into sports helps carving the experience(I'm a football fan but even so basketball just doesn't cut it), for me it is a matter of looks Athena and Paige(the Asian girl?) are alright but fall in comparison to Jordan and Brooke much more my type(Brooke the sweeter lass while Jordan is the music tomboy who thinks that knows more than she actually does), also kinda dream will get a more libertine scene in the music route(yet who knows perphaps the basketball route surprise us with fan hookups) with groupies and the like. Yeah starting a teen band is a harsher path than just being in the school team but eh if they play it will the struggle and success can be quite satisfying.

Hey, y’all!
Right off the bat, huge shoutout to the people on Discord who let me know about the intel fuckery that’s been going on. Apparently, it wasn’t the PSU that was fucked up, but my damn near brand new CPU decided to go into business for itself and put itself over by refusing to start and sending my PC on random ass boot loops after we tried fixing it, lol.
Anyway, it’s been replaced for a few days now and I should be getting a refund for the busted CPU in a few days which is pretty neat.
That’s it for my rambling about computer shit (which I hate with a burning passion). Now we move onto the numbers for the week.
I managed to get the numbers up to 910 and still 9 animations. Not bad, but not great.
Also, side hoes won the WP poll?!?!? Genuinely never thought I’d see the day. Very proud of y’all for switching it up, and I hope you’ll enjoy what I’m gonna cook up for this set
