| Overall, this anime was so damn boring. I had to watch the episodes at 1.5x speed in order to not fall asleep. Akane was indeed insufferable who never wanted to say how she truly felt which only lead to her being irritated. This still wasn't the worst anime this season though, the Medaka was somehow worse. Crazy that Himari kissed Saito...if the roles were reversed everyone would be pissed off. Akane and Himari's screaming match was so unnecessary Why do they keep making anime with main characters who do not want to express their feelings??? Overall, 5/10 for me and I'm being generous. |

| The losing heroine gives a piece of her mind to the main heroine? They can't do that, that's illegal! Honestly, Himari has all the rights in the world to snap at Akane for acting the way she has been for the entire series. Despite everything, Akane is one of the more tolerable tsundere character and her bickering with Saito is very enjoyable.  Not sure how rushed this adaptation is compared to the manga/LN, but the anime gets an 8/10 from me. It's plain dumb and fun; we need more adaptations like this! |

| Didn't like the show, but I'm giving it a last minute boost due to the harem ending. | Well as being a sucker for romcoms, I really wanted to like this more. However it ends up going nowhere in terms of progression. Akane was annoying throughout the whole series. Himari threw down the gauntlet and went for the opportunity (good for her). 2 years and Akane is still playing the fool. This dialed up tsundere act got old real quick from the very beginning. Himari is definitely the true heroine. |

| Last episode ruined by the snake Himari. Unfortunate. Genuinely one of the absolute worst and most obnoxious characters in any anime I have ever seen. This series could have been a 7/10 but Himari brings it down to a 6. |

I don't normally post a lot anymore on episode discussions, but I wanted to say: Akane was SO FUCKING ANNOYING THE ENTIRE ANIME. I actually love Tsunderes, but honestly the amount of YAPPING and gaslighting she has done is just almost unbearable. I wouldn't say I hate her, but having someone like that as the main female lead and the one thats going to win in the end obviously, it's just ugh.....
Himari is just better in every single way. She's playful, she's lovey dovey, she's pervy, she is confident, has a stellar body, long hair, and also shows signs of weakness WHILE also being a strong girl mentally at the same time.
She knows what she wants and she goes for it. She's not a perfect girl, as the way she comes across some things is a bit clumsy and can be at times more selfish, but that's what a person is. Having someone with a ton of pros with some cons thrown in there is literally how most actual relationships work.
I know it would defeat "the premise" of this anime, but Himari REALLY should have been the main heroine in this story.
Edit: Also just noticed, why is there no Harem genre tag on this anime? It cleary is one

| @DoctorWasabi It would have been much more fun and better with Himari. Akane had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Recommendation to shows producers: unless it's a shoujo, make sure that the main girl is really attractive if she's going to be annoying as well. |
| What the fuck? It feels Korean dramas are better than this. Himari slightly carried the show for me it but the cringe of this drama is so heavy that I could not even give an almost average score. Not to mention how stupidly convenient that Saito, who has a photographic memory, does not remember Akane but Akane remembers just for the sake of drama. Bullshit writing. |

| Prime example of why I dislike most tsunderes, especially ones with this bad tsun/dere ratio. Akane is an idiot. The reason she hates Saito? Pathetic. Could have been easily avoided. Average romcom but without any payoff: 4/10. |
| The ending wasn’t exactly satisfying, but it works. It’s not fair—give my girl Himari a chance to become an item with Saito! We all know who Saito’s first kiss was—Shisei. They finally revealed the first encounter between Akane and Saito and how things started to go south for them. Himari came on strong, as she could no longer hold back her love for Saito, so she kissed him. The moment was really sweet, to be honest. Finally, Akane and Himari had a serious talk, as Akane could no longer bear Himari being all over Saito. It’s good that they still remain friends. Himari was always considerate of Akane’s feelings—she’s a true friend in that sense. And even if she tries to get physical with Saito, it only means that her love runs deep. |

| Honestly, I didn't like Himari's kiss... and I didn't like the ending either. It's just not the kind of ending I was hoping for, to be honest... 😔  My theories about Himari were actually right — part of it was because she really liked Saito, and part of it was her fear of losing her friend.  The series was going so well... so well... I stayed with it until the end because of Akane-chan <3 and without a doubt, Akane-chan was my favorite character. I think it would also be really interesting to learn more about Shisei's story too... It's such a shame... the series was on a great path, especially the development between Akane and Saito... </3 I feel sorry for Himari... and for Shisei and Maho too. By the way, Shisei and Maho were really interesting characters too — I really liked their personalities and their background stories <3 But just to be clear — I’m rating this episode low not because of the animation or voice acting — those were actually great, and you could really feel the passion from both sides. My rating is based purely on the story and how this episode wrapped things up. |

| I'm kinda split on this show. I really liked the main romance plus the little sister Shisei, but didn't like Himari and hated Maho. They added an unnecessary degree of drama and conflict and nonsensical boundary crossing that made me feel like this was going towards a nice boat type ending. |
| This anime started off annoying and loud, by the middle of the anime it seemed to have potential, but the anime fell hard off the rails to be extremely frustrating, and then finished with the strangest love pentagon that I have seen. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.  |
| I won't lie and say this was a particularly great anime with great production or story or characters... but somehow I did enjoy it. I do hope for a season 2. |

| Btw they just totally forgot about the ring's entire plot lmao, It felt like It had actual relevance for the characters and then the director or author just forget about the goddamn ring (Idk which one forgot about It) There are a couple of plot holes and the entire thing about Akane and Himari and then they return to their status quo just like that??? OKAY MAN sure thing I guess the director wanted to kinda close It for a finale since it is probably not getting a season 2 any time soon, but I would be surprised if the original writing went that way so straightforward, they got over their emotions/feeling way too fast |
| It's been years since I've steered clear of the usual LN harem, not sure why but this was slightly more bearable. It's still full of the usual faults. Throwing new girls in to produce content, doormat MC (which he 100% is, despite talking like he isn't), rushed pacing, phony/wordy interactions Himari is the better girl of course, but I don't really picture her with the MC. The main couple deserve each other and it's more interesting to watch them together 5/10 |
| This would be much better if it went with either of two options: 1. MC ditches bitchy tsundere to stay with best girl Himari. 2. best girl Himari stops glazing MC, he ends up becoming bitchy tsundere`s slave punchbag and regrets rejecting Himari, bitchy tsundere discovers and brutally kills him with a knife. |
